Jay’s 35 years in the geothermal industry have brought him the labels of Visionary and Game-changer in the adoption and deployment of thermal energy exchange. As a global geothermal expert, Jay focuses on feasibility and design for thermal energy networks and supporting activities involving geothermal exchange implementation, aquifer related feasibility and special permitting such as utility‐scale geothermal exchange systems. Jay is a Certified Geothermal Designer, mechanical professional, co-recipient of the 2020 Constellation Prize for Policy Change, and passionate thermal energy advocate who started his career in nuclear power with the U.S. Navy.
As a PE and project manager, Justin’s role on projects ranges from providing geothermal payback analysis to full geothermal system design. His background as a mechanical engineer began in conventional HVAC design, including DX and Chilled Water, before focusing full time on thermal energy applications. He is passionate about being part of the solution in providing consistent renewable, cutting edge energy for heating and cooling needs.
Greg’s experience ranges from consulting engineer, to temperature controls contractor to manufacturer’s representative and design build contractor. He’s developed engineering software, continuing education programs and award-winning new products. A regular speaker at industry events and webinars, Greg holds Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, and brings decades of experience in the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of HVAC systems. He is the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hydronics Industry Alliance.
Nick is a sustainable energy scientist with experience in geothermal district feasibility projects, ranging from deep drilling to neighborhood heat pumps. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from the University of Montana and a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy from Háskólinn í Reykjavík, with a geothermal specialization. He is a military veteran and government consultant, a Fulbright Alum, a Certified Geoexchange Designer in training, programmatic modeler, and a current doctoral student studying geothermal energy engineering at the University of North Dakota. Nick sees geothermal in all his energy project analytics.
Stan provides engineering and economic analysis support to the team, as well as supporting Egg Geo’s project delivery. His engineering role includes mechanical and electrical engineering expertise from the development of system flow diagrams to above‐ground design documents, to construction phase administration. His economic analysis role entails savings projections, financial proformas, and life cycle cost analyses.
Cynthia leads strategic development, partnerships and alliances for Egg Geo, leveraging her experience in the emerging technologies and consulting sectors. Her background in growing companies and building alliances includes developing solutions and applications for new markets, customers, products, channels and teams, plus stakeholder education and strategic communications. She’s passionate about the role of multidisciplinary ecosystems in the development of thermal networks for endless energy.
Paul’s role in directing Operations for drilling is based on 37 years of operational experience from oil & gas production, to aquifer storage and recovery, as well as injection wells, both domestically and internationally. Paul graduated in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southwest Louisiana, and co-founded Applied Drilling Engineering in 2006 after managing multiple-rig drilling operations. He has a reputation for completing and delivering projects on time and on budget.
Stuart consults clients on drilling projects, as well as technical and regulatory issues, across sectors domestic and international that include governments, utilities and water authorities, water management districts, and the US Corps of Engineers. Stuart has been a licensed drilling contractor since 1987 and currently serves as Chairman on the Southwest Florida Water Management District's Well Drillers Advisory Board and President of Applied Drilling Engineering, Inc., a Florida Corporation. He is passionate about groundwater management including operations and data collection/analysis.
Greg leads mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design and construction services for major construction projects, with significant HVAC engineering and systems experience. On top of his BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida, he is LEED and PE certified. Greg has a bias for designs that are based on efficiency, operational ease and durability.
Casey is a mechanical engineer who supports client projects through geothermal engineering and Revit design. His expertise is driven by degrees in mechanical engineering and chemistry. Casey’s project work is influenced by his passion for the expansion of geothermal heating and cooling capabilities into new places.
Kristy’s role is to coordinate information into useable data and presentable knowledge. Her background in Public Health adds a unique perspective to environmental projects, including her code representation on International committees and national article publication. She is passionate about the answers that thermal energy networks offer to underserved communities and the public health positives that geothermal provides.
Jordan serves in dual roles at Egg Geo and its parent company, Technology Matrix, LLC. After achieving his MBA, he was recognized with promotion to his current management positions within the organization. Jordan is driven by seamless client relations and financial capabilities, and embodies his high esteem for business ethics and etiquette.
Sharon leads the finance and administration functions for both Egg Geo and its parent company Technology Matrix, LLC, backed by career expertise covering almost four decades in procurement, finance and operations. She has been instrumental in the creation and acquisition of several companies in the domestic and global sectors including electronics and technology, textiles, retail, consulting and engineering services. She is passionate about the key role she plays in the continued growth of this organization and its components.
