Code Development

As part of its contribution to securing the future of thermal energy networks and geothermal exchange, Egg Geo stays active on committees that write the codes that govern and make way for the future of geothermal energy. 

Industry codes for the renewable energy technologies regulating thermal energy networks and geothermal exchange are evolving rapidly. We proactively participate in technical code committees, leading development and writing of the codes which govern and make way for the future of geothermal energy and thermal networks, including design and installation standards for geothermal HVAC systems.

Our participation includes:

• Involved in technical code committees since 2015
• Served on IAPMO Uniform Solar and Geothermal Code Committee, 2018
• Served on IAPMO Uniform Mechanical Code, 2021 Edition
• Contribute to the forthcoming 2024 IAPMO Uniform Mechanical Code
• Geothermal contributor to ASHRAE 90.1
• Serves on the Board of Directors for Geothermal Rising
